Epidote is a heart chakra stone, associated with growth, transformation, and personal development, and is traditionally understood to amplify the energy of whatever it's placed alongside.

That reputation for amplification is baked into the mineral's own name. Epidote comes from the Greek epidosis, meaning addition or increase, a reference originally made by mineralogists to an extra crystal face on the stone. Crystal practitioners later took that literally, treating epidote as an intensifier, often pairing it with quartz or other stones rather than displaying it alone.

Epidote is a calcium aluminium iron sorosilicate that forms in metamorphic rock under significant heat and pressure, and its green comes directly from iron within the crystal structure. It typically grows as elongated, striated prismatic crystals, visible across the free-form clusters here. These pieces are natural throughout, not treated or dyed, so the exact shade of green and crystal formation varies genuinely from piece to piece.
