About this piece

Each piece of stone is individually cut, fitted, and polished by hand, so the exact contrast and pattern of colour is unique to this tile. Lapis lazuli itself is a metamorphic rock made mostly of lazurite, historically mined at Afghanistan's Sar-e-Sang deposit for thousands of years, and it carries a long-standing association with the throat chakra.
