Six Herkimer Diamonds in one intergrown group, which is the kind of thing that turns up rarely and does not hang around. The cluster runs 33mm long by 20mm wide and 12mm thick at 7.7g, and every crystal in it carries the sharp double terminations and water clear brilliance that mark authentic Herkimer material. Light enters one crystal and comes out somewhere unexpected, which is the particular pleasure of a multi point piece.
What does a cluster give you that a single point does not? Direction, mostly. A single Herkimer projects along one axis. A group like this radiates outward from several at once, which is why clusters are the usual choice for setting the tone of a whole room rather than working on one person. The clarity, attunement, and amplification Herkimers are known for still apply, working through the crown and third eye chakras, but spread rather than focused.
A closer look
Provenance is the honest headline here. This cluster comes from Herkimer County, New York, near Middleville, which is the only locality whose crystals properly carry the name. Plenty of double terminated quartz from Pakistan and China is sold as Herkimer, so knowing the source is one of the few genuine markers of quality. The formation story runs back roughly 500 million years, to the shallow sea that laid down the Little Falls dolostone. Acidic groundwater dissolved pockets into that rock, silica rich fluid entered, and quartz crystallized inside slowly and almost free floating. A cluster this populous means the pocket stayed chemically stable for a very long stretch, which is exactly why groups are scarcer than singles.

Living with your Herkimer cluster
Put it where light can find it and where you pass it often, since a cluster is a room piece rather than a pocket piece. A shelf, a mineral case, a desk corner, or the centre of a larger grid all work, and many people use clusters to recharge smaller stones by resting them alongside overnight. Quartz is hard and takes water, so rinse and dry on a soft cloth. Handle it by the body rather than the terminations, and set it down on something soft, because six sets of points give you six things to chip.
Please note: crystals are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Keep small pieces away from young children.
