Etched Kunzite Tower 110-170mm — Tall Pink Specimen

This Kunzite Specimen is a notably tall, slender piece, with sizes ranging from 110mm up to a striking 170mm, giving it a presence that shorter kunzite specimens simply don't have. Discovered in 1902 and named for Tiffany & Co. gemologist George Kunz, kunzite carries a soft pink to lilac tone that's become one of the most recognisable heart-chakra crystals in collector circles.

A question worth asking about any elongated crystal is whether its length is natural or reshaped: here it's entirely natural, an etched termination formed as the stone grew and partially dissolved in stages, leaving a texture that no cutting tool could replicate. About this specimen

The colour comes from trace manganese within the crystal, the same subtle chemistry responsible for so many gemstone hues.
