Caring for it

Wipe the quartz with a soft microfibre cloth whenever it starts to look cloudy, which is nearly always skin oil rather than anything in the stone. Keep the silver chain dry, since sterling tarnishes gradually in damp air, and bring it back with a silver polishing cloth if it darkens. Store it hanging or coiled loosely in a pouch rather than tangled in a drawer, because a kinked chain will spoil the hang, and the hang is the entire point of the object.
