Lapis Lazuli Tower 4.5in — Pyrite-Flecked Obelisk

This Lapis Lazuli tower stands a substantial 4.5 inches tall, cut into a clean, pointed obelisk shape that shows off the deep, even blue lapis is prized for, scattered throughout with tiny golden pyrite flecks. About this specimen

The gold flecks running through this piece are natural pyrite, not paint or added glitter, and the white veining you may spot is calcite, both common companions to the blue mineral lazurite that makes up genuine lapis. The finest lapis has come from Afghanistan's Sar-e-Sang mine for more than 6,000 years, one of the oldest continuously worked gem sources in the world.

Displaying your Lapis
