Is "Golden Healer" a mineralogical name, or is it something else entirely? Worth being clear about, since the wording sounds almost too on the nose. Golden Healer is a trade name, not a distinct mineral, describing ordinary clear quartz that picked up golden iron oxide staining or inclusions during its growth, sometimes also called yellow hematoid quartz. The underlying stone is identical to plain clear quartz, silicon dioxide, and what sets a Golden Healer specimen apart is purely how much iron happened to be present in the groundwater as it formed. Traditionally the golden colouring is associated with gentle, restorative healing energy, layered on top of clear quartz's broader reputation as an amplifier.

A closer look

The iron responsible for the colour was carried by mineral rich water moving through cracks in the surrounding rock, depositing veins and flecks of oxide into the quartz as it crystallized in a hydrothermal vein. The laser wand shape itself is a natural growth habit, an unusually slender, evenly tapered crystal, distinct from precision cut tools sometimes sold under similar names.
